Support Programs

  • 2-4 Bully-Proofing Program
  • Check and Connect Program
  • 2-4 Positive Behavior Interventions & Support Program

Some of the services and programs developed and implemented by the counselors:

  • Crisis intervention and developmental counseling.
  • Conferencing with parents, teachers, and students - discussing academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Peer Mediation - opportunities to learn and practice peaceful resolutions.
  • Individual and Group Counseling.
  • 2-4 Bully Proofing Program - developmentally appropriate guidance lessons are taught in every classroom throughout the course of the school year.
  • Check and Connect Program - a program designed for individual students who have been identified "at risk" for academic, behavioral, social, and/or emotional reasons. Students are linked to an adult mentor in the school. Students meet with their mentor in the morning and prior to dismissal to discuss their progress daily.
  • Postive Behavior Interventions and Support Program (PBIS) - a schoolwide system which sets behavioral expectations and reinforces students as they meet these expectations. It is also a system which identifies and supports those students who are having difficulties with their behavior at school.
